Another New Pattern...

 I can not sew fast enough.  I have slowed down the purchasing but the new Love Notions Juliet Top pdf pattern looks like a winner to me.  Here is the line drawings:

Folks there are options here - 4 sleeves, 3 yokes, and a full bust option.  Oh yeah!  I can also see this with a 3/4 length sleeve.  Easy enough to create with that long sleeve pattern.  

I hope I get to this pattern this year.

This is the Quebec pdf skirt.  This is a pull-on skirt.  This skirt is on my to-do list.  If you are looking for a workhorse type clothing item, this is it.  In the right fabric, it could be worn year round.  Here is the blog post to see the tester examples.  

This is the Taroko Skirt pdf pattern.  This is the newest skirt pattern form Itch to Stitch.  It is on my sewing list.  This will be a workhorse item in my wardrobe.  Check out the blog post to view the tester's samples.

Incoming Parcel...

 Incoming...thump.  Yes, that is the sound of fabric arriving.  I have been pretty good about not purchasing fabric in the past year but not good.  Honestly, I can plan/purchase far faster than I can sew.  Here is the latest purchases:

This is a vegan leather.  I purchased one yard with no specific project in mind.  This is something that can be used as a trim.  So, it is just because I found it.  Machine wash cold/tumble dry low.  50% stretch.

 This is a  denim blue linen/cotton.  I purchased 3 yards with the intent on making another pair of Allegro Bottoms pants.  I really like that pattern and it fits well.  Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.

This is a Turkish stretch denim.  I purchased 4 yards with the intent on making Love Notions Sabrina pants or maybe the Love Notions Duet pants.  I purchased enough to make a muslin as well as the pants.  I hope anyway.  You know how things do not always work out the way you intend.  Machine wash/tumble dry low.  2-way 10% stretch.

Inspiration...Shirtdress

 I know it is the color of this dress that is drawing me in.  Here is the perfect shirtdress for summer:

This is the Lafayette 148 New York Shibori Organic Cotton Chambray Dress. Price tag: $998.00. Details: flared silhouette, shirt collar, dropped shoulder, dolman short sleeve, hidden button placket, sash tie belt, side pockets, pleated bodice, elastic back waist, lower calf length, 100% cotton.  Model is 5'11".

This dress reminds me very much of a Calvin Klein dress that I had in the 80s/90s and I loved that dress. As for a pattern, I was unable to locate a dolman sleeved shirtdress pattern.  Could you create a pattern yourself? Probably.  Just merged a dolman sleeve onto a shirtdress pattern that has already been fitted.

 Today's inspiration is a very wearable, everyday type of top.

Why is it that simple shapes are so expensive?  Here is a freebie pattern that is similar with more of a dropped shoulder:

This is the Uvita Top by Itch to Stitch.  This pdf pattern is a relaxed fit with two sleeve options - 3/4 length and long length.  This pattern also has an add-on pdf pattern for $5 making it very versatile.  Here is the line drawings for the add-on product:
