Inspiration...Bracelet

Sometimes, you need accessories.  Here's a cute little bracelet:

Inspiration...Gingham Pants

Here's a wonderful pant for spring and summer:

This is Michael Kors Collection Gingham Stretch Cotton Trousers.  Price Tag:  $695.00.  Details: front slip pockets, back button through pockets, mid-rise, straight legs, cropped above ankle, cotton/spandex.

The detail here is really the gingham.  So, if you have a straight legged pant that you have already fitted, use that pattern.  Save those dollars for fabric.  This pattern might work:

This is McCall's 5894.  It is a jean pattern but you get a similar front with this pattern.

This is Butterick 5682.  This pattern contains a trouser pattern along with the jeans pattern.  There are a few more options here and it's possible that if one is fitted then other pattern patterns will follow.  Lots of options with this particular pattern.

Inspiration...Striped Skirts

Have you seen all the stripes for spring?  Last week's inspiration was a striped shirt.  Check out this skirt:

This is the Striped Knit Pencil Midi Skirt by Carolina Herrera.  I don't think that this silhouette would be hard to duplicate and I'm not even sure that you need a pattern.  It has an elastic waist with no kick pleat. Price tag: $1390.  This skirt has a matching top:

What do you think of the sleeveless tank with a peplum?  Price tag:  $1490.00.

To me, this entire outfit is very Alabama Chanin.  Check out these silhouettes:

Again, you're seeing a midi length striped skirt in a pull-on style.  Price tag:  $1128.00. How about this top:

This is the Panel Tank pattern from Alabama Chanin.  The current collection does not have a version of this top.  It is the same basic silhouette.
